About AIRoA

AI Robot Association (AIRoA) is an organization dedicated to collecting large-scale real-world robot data, including data from humanoid robots, and advancing the development of generative AI foundation models in the field of robotics.

AIRoA has been selected by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and NEDO as an implementing organization for the development of a data platform for generative AI foundation models in robotics under the “Post-5G Information and Communication Systems Infrastructure Enhancement R&D Project.” The project budget is JPY 20.5 billion.

Based on this foundation, AIRoA is working on a project to collect one million hours of humanoid robot operation data using more than 100 robots, and to develop a world-class Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model by leveraging this data.

Responsibilitie

• Deployment and Commissioning: Responsible for installing, initially configuring, commissioning, and obtaining site acceptance for physical robots, as well as creating checklists and recovery procedures, standardizing deployment processes, and managing operations at deployment sites.
• Incident Response: Diagnose and isolate software, network, sensor, actuator, power, mechanical, and environmental issues that arise in the field, provide initial response, and help prevent recurrence.
• Log Analysis and RCA: Use ROS/ROS 2 logs, system logs, sensor logs, operation logs, error codes, and video recordings to document root causes, reproduction conditions, scope of impact, temporary countermeasures, and permanent corrective actions.
• Quality and Maintainability Improvements: Provide the Engineering team with specific feedback to improve quality, repairability, operability, user experience, and on-site safety.
• Process and Knowledge Standardization: Develop deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures, checklists, work standards, and workflows to enable the team to operate repeatably.

AIRoAについて

AI Robot Association（AIRoA）は、ヒューマノイドロボットをはじめとする実世界ロボットの⼤規模データを収集し、ロボティクス分野における⽣成AI基盤モデルの開発を推進する組織です。

AIRoAは、経済産業省およびNEDOの「ポスト5G情報通信システム基盤強化研究開発事業」において、ロボティクス分野の⽣成AI基盤モデル開発に向けたデータプラットフォーム開発の採択事業者に決定しており、事業予算は205億円です。この基盤をもとに、100台以上のロボットを⽤いて100万時間規模のヒューマノイドロボット操作データを収集し、それを活⽤して世界最⾼⽔準のVision-Language-Action（VLA）モデルを開発するプロジェクトを進めています。

業務内容

• 導⼊‧試運転: 実機ロボットの設置、初期設定、試運転、現場受け⼊れ、チェックリスト、復帰⼿順、導⼊プロセス標準化、導⼊先でのオペレーションマネジメントを担当します。
• 障害対応: フィールドで発⽣するソフトウェア、ネットワーク、センサ、アクチュエータ、電源、機構、環境要因の問題を切り分け、⼀次対応と再発防⽌につなげます。
• ログ解析‧RCA ROS/ROS2ログ、システムログ、センサログ、操作ログ、エラーコード、映像記録を⽤いて、障害の原因、再現条件、影響範囲、暫定対策、恒久対策を整理します。
• 品質‧保守性改善: Engineeringチームに対して、品質、修理性、運⽤性、ユーザー体験、現場安全を改善するための具体的なフィードバックを⾏います。
• ⼿順化‧ナレッジ化: 導⼊⼿順、保守⼿順、トラブルシュート⼿順、チェックリスト、作業標準、ワークフローを整備し、チームが反復可能に運⽤できる状態を作ります。

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on troubleshooting experience with physical systems involving robots, industrial automation equipment, mechatronic products, factory automation equipment, or mobile robots.
• Experience analyzing logs and isolating faults in physical systems, and designing improvements through resolution.
• Ability to document reproduction steps, root-cause hypotheses, response history, and improvement requests in a format clearly understood by engineering teams.
• Experience with on-site deployment, testing, adjustment, recovery, stakeholder coordination, and compliance with safety procedures, or an equivalent practical, hands-on approach.
• Ability to collaborate across Hardware, Software, Integration, Simulation, Operations, and other teams, and translate field issues into technical challenges.
• Business level Japanese

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ROS/ROS 2, bag/log analysis, state machines, remote monitoring, OTA, diagnostic tools, health checks, or anomaly detection.
• Experience with RCA, FMEA, FRACAS, MTBF/MTTR, maintainability design, quality improvement, failure classification, or recurrence-prevention processes.
• Knowledge of motors, gearboxes, sensors, actuators, electrical systems, industrial networks, robotic arms, or material-handling equipment.
• Experience with multi-robot operations, fleet management, field operations, customer-site deployments, or maintenance partner management.
• Experience or qualifications in industrial safety, robot safety, on-site safety culture, risk assessment, or work standardization.

必須要件

• ロボット、産業⽤⾃動化装置、メカトロ製品、FA機器、モバイルロボットのいずれかで、実機でのトラブルシュートの実務経験があること。
• 実機に対するログ解析、不具合の切り分けを⾏い、改善までの設計を担当した経験があること。
• 発⽣事象の再現⼿順、原因仮説、対応履歴、改善要求を、エンジニアリングチームに伝わる形で記録できること。
• 現地での導⼊、試験、調整、復旧、関係者調整、安全⼿順遵守の経験、またはそれに準じる実践的な姿勢があること。
• Hardware、Software、Integration、Simulation、Operationsなど複数チームと連携し、現場の課題を技術課題に変換できること。
• ビジネスレベルの日本語能力

歓迎要件

• ROS/ROS2、bag/log解析、状態機械、遠隔監視、OTA、診断ツール、ヘルスチェック、異常検知の経験。
• RCA、FMEA、FRACAS、MTBF/MTTR、保守性設計、品質改善、故障分類、再発防⽌プロセスの経験。
• モーター、ギアボックス、センサ、アクチュエータ、電装、産業⽤ネットワーク、ロボットアーム、搬送装置等の知識。
• 複数台ロボット運⽤、fleet management、フィールドオペレーション、顧客現場導⼊、保守パートナー管理の経験。
• 産業安全、ロボット安全、現場安全⽂化、リスクアセスメント、作業標準化の経験、あるいは資格を有すること。
