VGS is looking for a Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) Technician to join our team!

The RCM Technician supports the Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) program at Womack Army Medical Center and other assigned locations. This position performs equipment data collection, condition monitoring, first-pass analysis, and documentation to help identify developing equipment problems before failure occurs. The technician will use assigned predictive maintenance instruments and associated equipment to locate exceptions, document findings, and prepare reports in accordance with established program guidelines. Reports prepared by the technician must be reviewed and approved by a qualified Analyst before being released to the Facility Manager or designated representative. This position is based at Fort Bragg/Womack Army Medical Center and requires up to 25% travel to support other company locations and customer facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform predictive maintenance data collection and first-pass analysis on facility systems and equipment.
• Use ultrasonic equipment and other assigned PdM technologies to identify equipment abnormalities and developing deficiencies.
• Collect accurate, repeatable equipment condition data in accordance with established routes, procedures, and program guidelines.
• Identify exceptions, abnormal conditions, and potential equipment failures requiring further evaluation.
• Document findings in clear, accurate, and timely reports.
• Submit reports to a qualified Analyst for review and approval before release to the Facility Manager or designee.
• Assist with establishing, maintaining, and updating equipment monitoring routes and asset information.
• Create or support corrective maintenance recommendations based on approved analysis findings.
• Maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy records of inspections, readings, findings, and completed work.
• Assist with tracking corrective actions and verifying whether identified equipment conditions have been resolved.
• Maintain predictive maintenance instruments, data collectors, sensors, and related equipment in serviceable condition.
• Follow all safety requirements, infection-control procedures, site policies, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate work with the RCM Manager, Analysts, maintenance leadership, technicians, and customer representatives.
• Participate in program meetings, training, inspections, and periodic reviews.
• Travel to other company or customer locations as required, up to 25%.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

CERTIFICATIN REQUIREMENTS:

• Level I certification in at least one predictive maintenance technologies but willing to add an additional certification in predictive maintenance technology.
• Preferred: Level I certification in technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound, or machinery lubrication analysis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ years of predictive maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform equipment data collection and first-pass analysis.
• Ability to properly operate applicable data-collection instruments and associated equipment.
• Ability to identify abnormal equipment conditions and accurately document findings.
• Ability to prepare clear technical reports in accordance with established guidelines.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility-maintenance systems.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and electronic maintenance-management systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, analysts, management, and customer representatives.
• Ability to work independently, manage assigned routes and priorities, and meet established reporting deadlines.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience supporting an RCM, condition-based maintenance, or predictive maintenance program.
• Experience working in a hospital, healthcare facility, military installation, or other mission-critical environment.
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system, such as DMLSS or an equivalent platform.
• Familiarity with preparing maintenance recommendations and supporting corrective work-order development.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to walk throughout large facilities and mechanical spaces for extended periods.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work around operating mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and access equipment located in confined or elevated areas.
• Ability to carry and operate predictive maintenance instruments and related equipment.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to travel by vehicle or air as required.
• Ability to facilitate all physical requirements specific to this scope of work successfully. 
• The duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  
• The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to work in a sitting position for 8 or more hours per day.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Must be able to travel to job locations by automobile.
• Must be able to work in safe and efficient manner.
