About the Job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, the Receptionist reports directly to the Front Office Manager.

As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for :

  • Monitor departures and arrivals on a daily basis.
  • Keep the booking schedule and occupancy schedule up to date.
  • Process bookings made by telephone, letter or email immediately and professionally within 24 hours of the booking being made.
  • Organize guest arrivals by printing registration cards, preparing group folders, etc.
  • Check in guests according to established procedures
  • Welcome and serve guests according to the hospitality standards of a 5-star hotel, in line with the expectations of the Mandarin Oriental Group and Swiss Deluxe
  • Comply with guarantee procedures by ensuring that we have cover for guests to be sent on credit (credit card authorization or cash deposit).
  • Organize guest departures (billing and room release).
  • Process guest departures in accordance with established procedures.
  • Enforce guest safe procedures.
  • Perform all administrative tasks in accordance with the daily checklist for each shift.
  • May be required to work both day and night shifts, depending on operational needs.

As Receptionist we expect from you:

  • Previous experience in Front Office.
  • Team spirit, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow.
  • Good communication skills and a flexible attitude.
  • Valid Swiss work permit or European passport.
