Help teenagers build confidence, coping skills, and independence.

We’re seeking a patient, dependable RBT with experience supporting teenagers who experience emotional dysregulation and may engage in physical aggression. The right candidate understands the challenges of adolescence and can build trust while providing calm, consistent support during difficult moments.

This role requires experience de-escalating behavioral outbursts and safely responding to physical aggression. Candidates should recognize early signs of distress, use proactive strategies to reduce escalation, and follow individualized behavior and safety plans.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with teenagers with developmental disabilities or significant behavioral support needs.
  • Demonstrated experience de-escalating situations involving physical aggression and responding safely during behavioral outbursts.
  • Ability to remain calm, use sound judgment, and maintain respectful communication under pressure.
  • Current QBS Safety-Care certification preferred; required training must be completed before implementing procedures that require certification.
  • Ability to connect through music, hobbies, and age-appropriate activities while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Consistent availability, strong communication, and willingness to follow BCBA guidance.

What you’ll do

  • Provide individualized ABA services under BCBA supervision.
  • Teach communication, emotional regulation, coping, and daily living skills.
  • Use prevention and de-escalation strategies to support safety and reduce distress.
  • Respond to physical aggression according to the individualized plan, using only procedures for which you are trained and authorized.
  • Help teens return to activities after challenging moments with dignity and support.
  • Collect accurate data and collaborate with families and the clinical team.

If you have hands-on experience supporting teens through challenging behavior and bring a steady, compassionate approach, we encourage you to apply!
