Job Description

At Jonsson Workwear, we exist to equip hardworking people with workwear that enables peak performance. That commitment starts at the very beginning of our value chain — with the fabrics and trims that go into every garment we make.

Our Raw Materials Warehouse in Durban is a purpose‑built 8 000 m² facility housing our fabric and trims inventory, supported by a state‑of‑the‑art quality laboratory for fabric testing. This operation plays a critical role in supplying our manufacturing facilities in Lesotho accurately, on time and to the highest quality standards.

To support this critical part of our operation, we are looking for a Raw Materials Operations Leader to lead high‑performing teams and ensure safe, efficient and reliable supply of raw materials into our manufacturing value chain.

As the Raw Materials Operations Leader, you will:

  • Lead and inspire raw materials warehouse teams, building a culture of accountability, ownership and delivery excellence
  • Ensure accurate, on‑time supply of fabrics and trims to our manufacturing facilities through disciplined stock control and reliable material flow
  • Work closely with Procurement, Planning and Manufacturing teams to align demand, supply and execution
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges, bottlenecks and risks before they impact production
  • Champion Health & Safety, maintenance and security standards across the Raw Materials Warehouse
  • Apply a strong systems‑driven and analytical approach to WMS performance, stock accuracy and service levels

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A proven warehouse operations leader with deep experience in raw materials, fabrics or trims environments
  • A strong people leader, with a track record of leading and developing teams of 30–50 people
  • Highly comfortable operating in WMS‑driven environments, including barcode scanning, picking and dispatch processes
  • Disciplined and proactive in Health & Safety compliance, operational risk management and site standards
  • Analytical and solutions‑focused, able to identify risks, improve flow and maintain performance under pressure
  • Experienced in large‑scale warehousing operations, with a solid understanding of systems, stock control and service levels
  • Confident using operational systems and data, including MS Office (advanced Excel), WMS, Syspro and Datascope
  • Willing to work extended hours and provide after‑hours leadership support when required

In line with Jonsson Workwear’s commitment to employment equity, applications from candidates from designated groups, as well as candidates with disabilities, are encouraged.
