Rates Sales - SEK Focus Permanent position

We are looking for a Rates Sales professional with a SEK focus to join our SEK Rates team and strengthen our Nordic rates franchise, on a full-time employment agreement.

About our team

Meet the SEK Rates team. Our role is to provide liquidity, risk warehousing and bond inventory to the investor and issuer community active in the SEK Rates space. We work closely with clients to understand their needs, deliver relevant market insight and connect them with pricing, execution and risk solutions across the SEK rates product suite.

Our team is part of Nordea Markets and works at the centre of the Nordic fixed income franchise. We collaborate closely with trading, strategy, research and syndicate to provide clients with strong access to SEK government bonds, swaps, money markets and covered bonds. The team is primarily based in Stockholm and is an integral part of our Nordic platform.

Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and that we imagine you share with us.

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Drive client activity and sales coverage across SEK rates products, with a clear focus on institutional client needs and commercial opportunities
  • Originate, discuss and distribute data-informed trade ideas across SEK government bonds, swaps, money markets and covered bonds
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, acting as a trusted partner in their Nordic fixed income activity
  • Use market data, analytics and digital tools to provide timely market colour, pricing context and product expertise that help clients navigate developments in SEK rates markets
  • Develop and use analytical tools, including Python where relevant, to support client follow-up, identify opportunities and improve the quality of client dialogue
  • Collaborate closely with trading, strategy, research and economics to ensure relevant client dialogue, strong execution and coordinated market positioning

Who you are

This is the right role for you if you have a solid interest in financial markets, enjoy working with clients and want to develop further within SEK rates sales.

You combine commercial curiosity with strong analytical ability, and you are motivated by building trusted client relationships and turning market insight, data and product knowledge into relevant client activity. You are comfortable taking ownership, identifying opportunities and clearly communicating ideas to a broad set of stakeholders.

Your background and skills include:

  • Experience from rates sales, trading, research, strategy or another client-facing Markets role, ideally with exposure to SEK or Nordic markets
  • Solid understanding of the Riksbank policy framework, Swedish macroeconomics and the key drivers of Nordic rates markets
  • Good knowledge of SEK interest rate products, including government bonds, swaps, money markets and covered bonds
  • Ability to build client relationships, identify commercial opportunities and communicate market views in a clear and engaging way
  • Strong technical skills, including Python, data analysis and the ability to use digital tools to improve market follow-up, client dialogue and idea generation
  • Academic background in economics, finance or a related field
  • Fluency in Swedish and English

It would be ideal if you also:

  • Have familiarity with institutional clients or a growing network within Nordic fixed income markets
  • Have worked with or have an interest in covering real money, bank treasury, hedge fund or public sector clients
  • Are comfortable translating macro views, relative value ideas and market themes into relevant client conversations
  • Have experience using Python, Excel, Bloomberg, data visualisation or other analytical tools to support sales processes, client follow-up and market analysis

What we offer

  • People come here when they want to get somewhere. For some, it is to take their career to the next level. For others, it is to break new ground within their area of expertise. With us, you will always move forward.
  • A collaborative and high-performing environment in one of the largest Nordic financial institutions, with a strong Markets platform
  • Opportunities to shape the SEK rates client offering, build trusted relationships and work closely with experienced colleagues across sales, trading, strategy and research
  • A hybrid working model combining collaboration and flexibility
  • A strong focus on diversity and inclusion as a natural part of our daily work
