Your new role

As a Rare Diseases Medical Affairs Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry while supporting critical Medical Affairs activities in hemoglobinopathies—particularly sickle cell disease and thalassemia. Under close supervision, you'll contribute to meaningful work that directly impacts patients living with rare diseases.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the development of scientific communication strategies by conducting research and assisting in creating evidence-based messaging materials for rare diseases
• Contributing to scientific literature reviews on sickle cell disease and thalassemia in both French and English
• Assisting in planning and executing medical education initiatives, including developing educational materials and participating in Operational Excellence review meetings with international teams
• Supporting cross-functional internal training by creating or updating slide decks with practical fact sheets covering treatment mechanisms, crisis management, monitoring protocols, and key clinical study results
• Collaborating on Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement activities by assisting with advisory board coordination, logistics, content development, and insights collection
• Contributing to publication plans by assisting in drafting, reviewing, and coordinating scientific publications, including real-world evidence studies, while ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Working closely with French healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders to align Medical Affairs activities with departmental goals

Your new department

The Rare Diseases Medical Affairs team focuses on hemoglobinopathies, working to bridge the gap between scientific evidence and clinical practice. As part of this team in France, you'll collaborate with Medical Advisors, Clinical Operations teams, Medical Education Officers, Marketing and Sales teams, and regional market access professionals. Your work will help ensure that healthcare professionals have access to the latest scientific insights and educational resources to support patients with sickle cell disease and thalassemia.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a motivated individual with a strong interest in rare diseases and scientific communication. You'll bring with you:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bac +5 degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related field
• Strong interest in rare diseases, particularly hemoglobinopathies such as sickle cell disease and thalassemia
• Fluent French and scientific English (reading/writing proficiency)
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
• Prior exposure to medical affairs, clinical research, or the pharmaceutical industry is advantageous but not required
• Scientific curiosity with a meticulous attention to detail and a patient-centric mindset
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly to diverse audiences
• Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
• Adaptability and proactive learning attitude, with willingness to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment

What we offer

This 6-month internship offers a competitive monthly salary of €1,600 - €2,000, depending on your diploma.
