RAPID SERVICE RESPONSE (RSR) SUPERVISOR-Full-Time in Southwest Philadelphia, PA

The Supervisor of the Rapid Service Response Program at Gemma Services plays a critical role in supporting the department’s mission and ensuring adherence to the Gemma Way and UNITED values. This position provides direct supervision to assigned RSR staff, ensuring compliance with Philadelphia Department of Human Services (DHS) requirements, RSR program standards, and Gemma Services policies. The Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations for their team, ensuring timely intake, service delivery, and accurate documentation, while fostering a trauma-informed, culturally responsive environment.

The Supervisor is responsible for guiding staff performance, monitoring quality assurance, and supporting family-centered service delivery. This includes ensuring timely engagement with families, promoting strength-based approaches to keep children safely at home, and collaborating with DHS Intake Workers, Family Advocacy Partners, and community resources. The role also involves participation in audits, reporting, and implementing corrective actions as needed. Supervisors serve as a resource for staff, modeling professionalism and UNITED values in all interactions.

Job Specifics: Work schedule is a Monday-Friday, full-time position, Hybrid role

Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or another human service-related field.

Experience: 2-3 years of experience in child welfare preferred. At least 4 years working with children and families, preferably within the child welfare system.

Training: The Supervisor will be fully trained in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and appropriate documentation monitoring & reporting. Experience facilitating Reflective Supervision is preferred. Valid CPR and First Aid Certification. Training will be provided upon hire. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
