Position Information: Are you a dedicated chiropractor with a passion for mentoring, educating, and shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals? NWHSU is seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time faculty member to join our College of Chiropractic program to advance chiropractic education and foster clinical excellence. This individual will play a vital role in students' development of clinical competencies through clinic supervision, patient care, and classroom instruction. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic learning environment and support the College's commitment to continuous curricular innovation, student success, and academic excellence.

The ideal candidate will have experience in competency-based education, team teaching, innovative assessment methods, and demonstrate a strong ability to engage students in both classroom and clinical settings. Work Location: Bloomington, MN with flexibility to work 2-3 days per week remotely; must live local and be able to come to campus as needed.

Course Assignments May Include:

  • Clinical care and student supervision in our on-campus De Rusha clinic
  • Second laboratory instruction across a variety of Methods and Clinical courses
  • Primary instruction for Clinical Pathology II and/or GIGU courses

Duties:

  • Deliver engaging instruction through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on learning activities in alignment with course and program objectives
  • Foster a positive and inclusive, student-centered learning environment that supports academic success and professional development
  • Maintain and update course materials, syllabi, and learning management system content to support effective teaching and communication
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure course content reflect current evidence, best practices, and program outcomes
  • Assess student learning, evaluate assignments and performance, and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Support student learning through mentoring, guidance, and academic support
  • Participate in departmental meetings, faculty collaboration, University events including White Coat and commencement
  • Participate in service, scholarship, and professional activities that support the mission of the University
  • Maintain expertise through continuing education

What you need to have?

  • Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree, required
  • Active MN Chiropractic license in good standing, required
  • Teaching experience in higher education delivered in person, online, or in hybrid formats, preferred
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, and evaluating students in clinical or educational settings, preferred
  • Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment that supports professional development and clinical competency
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, learning management systems, and assessment software, preferred

Compensation:

$60,000-$70,000 (Assistant Professor); Associate or Full Professor compensation and academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate's education, related professional experience, and internal equity considerations.
