As Ranging & Propositions Manager, you’ll lead the commercial vision for the future Clothing in‑store proposition, shaping how TU shows up for customers across our store estate. Sitting within the Clothing Commercial Operations team, this role is central to translating commercial and customer priorities into clear, compelling propositional principles that elevate the in‑store experience and strengthen our brand offer.
You’ll define the future range and grading strategy for Clothing, developing flexible, data‑led ranging solutions that ensure the right product is delivered to the right stores at the right time — driving improved commercial performance, customer relevance and long‑term growth.
What you’ll do
You’ll set and own the strategic principles for Clothing ranging, space and propositions, working cross‑functionally to shape the future in‑store experience. This includes developing store layout and space principles in partnership with Visual Merchandising and Design, acting as the commercial gatekeeper for Clothing store investment, and leading the delivery of complex space and relay projects across categories and formats.
The role will focus on embedding consistent frameworks for space optimisation and assortment planning, using robust data and insight to review ranging performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, Retail, Property, Store Planning and Technology teams to align priorities, embed flexible ranging solutions and drive progress against key commercial KPIs, ensuring Clothing propositions remain commercially strong, customer‑led and future‑fit.
Who you are
You’re a commercially minded leader with a strong blend of analytical capability and creative vision. You understand how category, range and space decisions translate into customer experience and commercial outcomes, and you’re comfortable leading through complexity and ambiguity. You’re collaborative, confident influencing senior stakeholders, and motivated by shaping strategy, building clarity and delivering impact at scale.
To be considered for this role, you must have demonstrable experience in Clothing category and range management, including hands‑on involvement in assortment optimisation, ranging or space‑related decision making within a commercial retail environment.
