About this opportunity:

Join Ericsson’s RAN Feature Verification team as a RAN Verification Lab Professional and start your career in 5G/6G technology.
This is a hands-on, entry-level role where you’ll work directly to support test environments used by our verification teams. You’ll gain practical experience with telecom systems, lab infrastructure, and real-world network setups.
You’ll perform lab activities while collaborating closely with lab teams and verification engineers to keep environments running smoothly.
This role is a strong starting point for growth into positions such as RAN Verification, RAN Test Development, or broader lab and infrastructure roles within Ericsson.

What you will do:

  • Support day-to-day operation of RAN test lab environments
  • Help configure lab hardware and software for testing
  • Troubleshoot basic lab issues (hardware and software), with support from the team
  • Document and solution lab setups and configurations clearly and accurately
  • Collaborate with verification engineers to enable test execution
  • Learn and build knowledge of telecom systems and 5G/6G technologies
  • Support basic end-to-end testing and validation activities
  • Contribute to integrating AI tools into our workflows to improve efficiency and automation

The skills you bring:

  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Basic understanding of networking or telecom concepts (RF, fiber, LAN…)
  • Interest in hands-on technical work in a lab environment
  • Comfortable working hands-on, in collaboration with lab support personnel, in a lab environment
  • Basic Linux and PC knowledge
  • Strong willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to 4G/5G or wireless technologies
  • Familiarity with networking equipment (servers, switches, routers)
  • Awareness of telecom standards (e.g., 3GPP)
  • Basic knowledge or interest in AI/automation tools

Your Pay
The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

The salary range for this position is:

Ontario:

68,800 CAD - 90,300 CAD

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan (select if STV) Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee’s contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee’s contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also receive basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage at two-times annual base pay at no cost, as well as short-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, plus at least 3personal days, minimum 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
