The Role
We are looking for a Skilled Equipment Operator with specific experience in railroad track maintenance. This is not an entry-level labor position. You will be responsible for operating specialized machinery and performing technical repairs across our regional project sites.
Key Responsibilities
• Precision Operation: Safely operate specialized railroad maintenance equipment (such as regulators, tampers, or backhoes with rail attachments).
• Technical Maintenance: Execute track surfacing, tie replacement, and rail repair to exact specifications.
• Project Travel: This role is project-based and involves regional travel (up to 75%). We provide per diem and travel support for overnight stays.
• Safety Leadership: Adhere to all FRA regulations and lead by example in a "Safety First" environment.
Mandatory Requirements
• Railroad Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of direct experience in Railroad Track Maintenance (MOW).
• Equipment Mastery: Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or industrial setting (rail-specific equipment preferred).
• Travel Readiness: A valid driver's license and the ability to travel regionally as projects dictate.
• Physical Stamina: Comfort working in the Florida climate and the ability to handle the physical demands of track-side work.
