for Technician
Allen Marine Sales and Service operates a life raft repacking and certification facility. The facility inspects, sells, and repacks inflatable life rafts. The facility is also an authorized retailer and repair facility for MilPro Zodiacs. The position assistis withlogistics, storage, processing, and delivery related to these operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities for Technician
- Deal with warranty issues and work order questions; coordinate with manufacturer and billing of respective warranty claims.
- Track and monitor all Allen Marine-controlled zodiacs.
- Organize the transport and delivery of zodiacs.
- Coordinate the receipt and storage of zodiacs at the end of the season and ensure proper storage and care.
- Work with cruise lines when potential maintenance issues arise.
- Responsible for store inventory control and security.
- Haul out, launch, or store boats for a water test.
- Receive certifications to perform inspections, maintenance, and rolling of life rafts.
- Manage life raft operations to ensure compliance with certification requirements.
- Ensure office equipment is in working order; troubleshoot equipment problems & schedule service calls for equipment, as needed. Maintain office supplies for the division.
- Process daily mail needs.
- Follow the current office filing system and maintain a clean, organized office.
- Maintain a positive work environment for employees.
- Periodically running various errands.
- Special projects may be assigned as required by the business.
Minimum Qualifications for Technician
- High School degree or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organization and ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Valid US driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must pass a security background check and DOT drug test.
