Job Description

The RAES Administration Receptionist is the face of the front office and is responsible for ensuring an effective, efficient and high-quality administrative service. They are responsible for assisting in the provision of a culturally appropriate service to all visitors and clients.

Remuneration package:

Employment Type Full Time

Salary Range: $70,136.95 per annum (pro-rata)

Entitlements/Benefits: 6 Weeks Annual Leave + 2 Weeks Sick Leave + 2 Weeks Ancillary Leave + 1 RDO per Month

Location: Kalano’s CDP Administration Office – 2/3 First Street, Katherine NT

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week – 7.5 hours per day [Monday to Friday | 08:00am – 4:30pm]

Key Responsibilities:

• answering phones

• Contacting daily appointment lists

• Liaising with jobseekers and linking them to Support Officer

• responding to emails

• redirecting queries to appropriate services

• Weekly Mail runs

• cleanliness of office

• sign in and out books and appointments

• filing and systems management

• ad-hoc duties as requested by office staff

Essential Competencies (knowledge, skills and attributes):

• Competent use of computer software packages such as word, excel, email and internet

• Sound Work Ethics – reliability, honesty, confidentiality, responsibility

• Ability to work in a team as well as unsupervised

• Cross cultural awareness and effective communication skills

• Working knowledge of WHS principles and practices

• Working knowledge of all Kalano Policies and Procedures

• Willingness to undertake further training as required

Mandatory Requirements:

•Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within RAES region 31.

•Current Police Check

•Working with Children’s Clearance
