Job Description

Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

The Radiology Technologist II independently performs a wide range of imaging procedures and demonstrates proficiency in multiple modalities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greets and assists patients, explain procedures clearly, and ensure appropriate attire for procedure.
  2. Performs routine and complex radiographic exams and imaging procedures, including OR and fluoroscopy procedures following established protocols; position patients accurately.
  3. Selects and applies appropriate technical factors based on body habitus and pathology; maintains attention to patient and equipment during procedures.
  4. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of imaging equipment and ensures proper operation.
  5. Maintains accurate documentation in EMR and verifies image quality.
  6. Performs additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
  • 2+ years of related experience

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Registered Technologist in Radiography (RT(R)) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards (SCRQS) certification

Essential Skills:

  • Strong computer skills.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
