Work Schedule Details: Monday–Friday, generally 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with hours subject to adjustment based on provider and operational needs.

What We Offer

The Radiologic Technologist I works independently and/or assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images in the ambulatory setting.

Work Location: This position will be primarily based at our West Ashley location, with occasional coverage at our main office in Mt. Pleasant based on staffing and operational needs. The address to our West Ashley location is: 1014 St. Andrews Blvd., Suite 101C, Charleston, SC.

Work Setting: This position is based exclusively in an outpatient orthopedic clinic. This is not a hospital-based or Operating Room (OR) position. The Radiologic Technologist will provide imaging services specifically within the outpatient orthopedic clinic setting.

What You'll Do

  • Patient Safety & Care: Verify patient identity, history, consent, allergies, and medications. Prepare patients for procedures, provide safe care, and follow infection control and safety protocols.
  • Imaging: Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures according to established protocols. Operate imaging equipment, administer contrast as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Technology & Documentation: Accurately use EMR, RIS, and PACS systems. Maintain complete patient records and ensure timely transfer of images and clinical information.
  • Communication: Explain procedures, answer patient questions, and provide professional, compassionate care while collaborating with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain ARRT certification and state licensure. Follow radiation safety, ALARA, quality assurance, and organizational standards.
  • Professional Development: Support students and colleagues, maintain clinical competencies, and stay current with imaging practices and safety requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.
  • Experience: One year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R) Required NH Medical Group Office Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R), required.
  • Additional Skills Required: Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories. Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms, working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment, able to adapt to various situations and procedures.
  • Additional Skills Preferred:
  • NH MedicalRegistry-eligible in Radiography by ARRT.
  • Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(Required) within 6 months of hire.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient.
  • Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(Required).
  • NH Medical Group: Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(Required).
