Job Purpose or Objective(s): As the Radiology Technologist, you will perform routine and urgent radiographic examinations. You will report to department leadership.
Primary Tasks:
1. Perform necessary immobilization, positioning, and technique selection to produce quality diagnostic radiographs.
2. Prepare room, equipment, and materials for patient examinations.
3. Supervise daily clinical performance and training of radiological students and new radiologic technologists.
4. Ensure the safety of patients by observing the equipment during procedures and report any unusual occurrences.
5. Consult with reading radiologist or ordering provider regarding radiographic examinations.
6. Help log critical findings when appropriate.
7. You will perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Completion of an ARRT approved Radiologic program within six months of employment.
· Obtain ARRT certification in radiologic technology within six months post completion of an approved radiology program.
· Basic knowledge of radiology procedures
