Job Description

Job Location: 6125 Paseo Del Norte Ste 130 - Carlsbad, CA 92011
Salary Range: $48.00 - $55.00 Hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform CT and diagnostic X-ray procedures according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.
- Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain CT scanners and X-ray equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and facility protocols.
- Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and obtain relevant medical history prior to imaging procedures.
- Administer contrast materials when required, in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions or complications.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and utilize appropriate shielding to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.
- Review images for quality and accuracy before submitting them to the radiologist for interpretation.
- Document procedures, patient information, and imaging results accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
- Maintain imaging equipment and report malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure efficient patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R); CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred or required.
- Valid California Radiologic Technologist license issued by the California Department of Public Health Radiologic Health Branch.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent.
