What You'll Do

Responsible for obtaining radiographic images of diagnostic quality while adhering to departmental standards and protocols. Collaborates with other professionals to ensure effective, efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes.

Ensures continuity of professional care.

Responds to patient and family requests promptly.

Competently and independently performs all radiographic procedures.

Obtains all radiographic images while adhering to departmental standards.

Ensures that all procedures are properly ordered, verified and acknowledged.

Properly identifies patient before procedures.

Teaches and works with students.

Accurately collects improvement performance data as directed.

Actively participates in the development and implementation of process improvements.

Scans appropriate associated documents into PACS for radiologist interpretation.

Adheres to positioning guidelines and department expectations.

Removes or repositions objects that will make artifacts on the images.

Consistently provides reproducible quality images.

Informs PACS support of issues and corrects errors.

Collimates appropriately

Erases CR cassettes.

Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements
• Certified And Registered In Good Standing With The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification For Healthcare Providers From The American Heart Association (AHA) Or Obtained Within 60 Days Of Hire.
• If Applicable To The Role, Must Obtain Additional Certifications Or Licensure (E.G., Radiologic Technologist License, Credentialed Medical Assistant Certification) Within Designated Timeframes.

Education and Experience

Graduate of an accredited radiologic sciences program Preferred, Graduate of an accredited radiologic sciences program with a B.S.
Clinical experience acquired through the completion of radiologic sciences program Preferred, Two years of experience as a radiologic technologist in an acute care hospital or clinic setting.
