Job Description

FlexStaff is seeking motivated and skilled Radiology Technologists for our client, at various levels to join their dynamic Radiology Department. Work Location: In person Queens, NY

Pay: $71,039 - $149,408 per year (based on level of experience)

**Many Shifts Available

As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing clinical and administrative tasks to facilitate the delivery of radiological services. You will operate x-ray equipment, develop medical images, and ensure the radiological areas are prepared and safe for patient care. Multiple assignment levels (I, II, III, IV) are available, each with its own responsibilities, qualifications and tiered salary structure.

Key Responsibilities:

Level I:

  • Prepare the radiological area and equipment for patient procedures.
  • Position patients correctly and educate them about the x-ray process.
  • Operate x-ray equipment and follow prescribed techniques to produce images.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and maintain patient records.

Level II: (In addition to Level I tasks)

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and treatment procedures.
  • Supervise and train junior radiographic personnel and ensure continuous workflow.
  • Monitor patient examinations and equipment conditions and report as needed.

Level III: (In addition to Levels I and II tasks)

  • Supervise the delivery of radiological services and participate in quality assurance initiatives.
  • Develop training programs for imaging staff and assist with specialized imaging procedures.
  • Coordinate supplies and equipment inventory to maintain operational efficiency.

Level IV: (For Specialty Assignments)

  • Perform advanced imaging procedures and supervise those in specialized imaging areas.
  • Lead administrative activities and participate in equipment evaluation and research projects.

Qualifications:

Level I:

  • Valid temporary permit or license from the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) for Diagnostic Radiography.

Level II:

  • Valid license and registration with one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

Level III:

  • Two years of experience, including one year in a supervisory role for supervisory assignments or advanced-level certification for specialized imaging assignments.

Level IV:

  • Two years of experience, including one year in a supervisory role, with an advanced-level certification in a relevant specialty area.
