**PRN POSITIONS REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 2 SHIFTS/MONTH**
General Description:
While enrolled in school, the Imaging Student performs imaging/radiologic services within the student scope of practice. This position provides students the opportunity to work in real-life situations while earning their degree.
Essential Responsibilities:

Under direct supervision from a preceptor, provider or instructor, gains exposure to multiple disciplines within Imaging such as x-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound and fluoroscopy.
Assists in performing diagnostic imaging services using techniques learned in school and within imaging department.
Prepares patients for testing with an emphasis on providing excellent patient experiences.
Ensures that equipment and testing spaces are clean, welcoming and free of clutter.
Learns how to transfer images and data to the appropriate electronic health system.
Assists with performing quality control checks, cleaning and disinfecting equipment per manufacturer standards.
General Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited imaging/radiology degree program as defined by ARDMS, ARRT, NMTCB and/or CCI.
Experience: No experience required.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Entry level knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
Entry level knowledge of imaging/radiology diagnostic procedures.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to follow HIPAA guidelines and standards.
Ability to work as part of a diverse team and communicate effectively with others.
Displays consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled.
Ability to be sensitive to patients’ physical and psychological needs.
Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.
