The University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC) is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our Diagnostic Radiology team in a full‑time, outpatient procedural role. In this position you will work closely with a large group of radiologists and provide hands‑on clinical care that directly supports MSK, Fluoroscopy, and Ultrasound services.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with radiologists across MSK, Fluoroscopy, and Ultrasound divisions to support smooth procedural workflow.
Perform clinic‑based procedures such as joint injections and other therapeutic injections.
Evaluate patients independently, develop treatment plans, and manage pre‑ and post‑procedure care.
Conduct histories and physicals, review imaging, and complete documentation.
Participate in select radiology‑guided procedures.
Contribute to efficient coordination of outpatient radiology procedural services.
Schedule
1.0 FTE, full‑time (40 hours/week)
Day/evening shifts (10–12 hours)
No weekends and no call
Candidate Requirements & Experience
Experienced PA with a strong background in hands‑on clinical work
Not open to new graduates at this time
Procedural Competence (Required):
IV placement
Injections
Minor procedures
Independent patient management
Ability to practice with confidence and autonomy in a procedural setting.
Interest in Expanding Procedural Scope within Radiology:
Joint injections
Thyroid biopsies
Fluoroscopy‑related tasks

Education
PA:Completion of an Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) approved program (prior to January 2001 – Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs). Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required.
