
The Radiology Department is a specialty medical service that offers a wide range of imaging techniques to diagnose and treat a broad range of medical conditions. The Diagnostic Section utilizes ionizing radiation through the use x-rays, radiography and fluoroscopy. At UCSF Medical Center, we offer the full spectrum of techniques, using the most advanced equipment. Combined with X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Bone Densitometry, Mammography, CT scans, MRI, PET, Ultrasound and Interventional we perform more than 500,000 procedures annually. The Radiology Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing Interventional and Neuro Interventional imaging procedures across the entire UCSF enterprise. This position involves coordinating multiple departments and locations within medical centers and imaging centers. With a team of over 25 employees, the manager ensures 24/7 coverage for inpatient and outpatient services. Additionally, they represent the Radiology Department in hospital committees, contribute to construction projects, and assist in selecting new equipment. They are responsible for overseeing the operations of all interventional and neurointerventional modalities at Mount Zion, Parnassus, and Mission Bay campuses.
The reporting structure for this position has both direct and indirect reports consisting of: IR/NIR Supervisors, Interventional / Neuro-Interventional Technologists and support staff. Other personnel responsibilities will include hiring new employees, cross-training initiatives, organizing the workflow, coordination of daily work schedules, knowledgeable in all procedures, enhancing image quality, enforcing patient safety and understanding of the union environment.
The Manager will operate at the highest level to provide management and other professionals with technical expertise and expert knowledge on Radiology Interventional / Neuro Interventional imaging.
