
The Radiation Information Support Associate handles image imports and records distribution and electronic record maintenance for the Department of Radiology. This job imports images into McKesson; processes image archival, outside consult, CD create request and appropriate document transfer; utilizes image application to import images from outside CD’s into PACS; communicates with other facilities to obtain image reports/records; creates new patient image record and medical record accounts; merges outside images with existing patient accounts, etc.Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A

Experience REQUIRED: Minimum of four (4) years of work experience in supporting Radiology image management and PACS workflows plus a High School Diploma or equivalent; or Minimum of six (6) months of experience in computer operations, data entry and/or electronic record information management plus an Associates Degree in Radiology Technology, Information Technology, Health Information Management or closely related field from an accredited program
Experience PREFERRED Three (3) years experience in Radiology informatics support
Education/training REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent plus years of required work experience listed above; or Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology, Information Technology, Health Information Management or closely related field from an accredited program plus years of required work experience listed above
