Purpose oversees a medical facility's imaging department. They manage daily operations, staff technologists, budgets, and equipment procurement while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards. This executive role requires strong clinical expertise and leadership to optimize diagnostic workflows and patient care
What you will do:
· Departmental Operations: Manage daily workflow, patient scheduling, and equipment maintenance for modalities like X-ray, MRI, CT, and Ultrasound.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the facility meets accreditation requirements, such as those from the Joint Commission and the American College of Radiology.
· Staff Management: Recruit, train, and evaluate radiology technologists, while maintaining optimal staff coverage and competency standards.
· Budgeting & Procurement: Develop and oversee departmental budgets, including forecasting needs for new imaging technology and capital improvements.
· Quality & Safety: Monitor quality assurance protocols and enforce radiation safety guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Requires Bachelor's degree; Masters preferred
* Requires five years experience managing Radiologic operations in a hospital setting; technical experience preferred.
* Requires thorough knowledge of Radiology services and applicable regulatory requirements.
* Working knowledge of marketing concepts is preferable.
Licensure:
* Florida CRT license preferred
* ARRT Certification preferred
* BLS Certification preferred
