
The Associate Director reports directly to the Administrator for the Department Radiology, Laboratory, and Pathology may be assigned to any Department/Division/Specialty within the scope as identified by the Chair/Administrator and is responsible for daily operations, patient throughput, and coordination of care delivery. This individual can problem solve, troubleshoot and resolve problems arising from daily operations. This individual is accountable for the operational performance by building a cohesive team and establishing a positive working relationship with the medical staff sufficient to encourage volume growth, efficient patient care processes, quality clinical outcomes, and information systems necessary to support reliable outcomes reporting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to personnel resource management, budget management, supply and equipment inventory management, clinical information systems management, professional staff development, and to ensure that regulatory requirements and guidelines are continuously adhere to and independently makes changes to operations as required to meet standards.
Support project management of key strategic initiatives and deployment of capital projects through assistance with planning, designing workflow and throughput, implementing, and evaluating process through completion.
This individual will also develop and maintain a positive relationship and interaction with other Service Line leaders towards the enhancement of physician, patient, and employee satisfaction, and quality improvement initiatives. Organizes, delegates, and coordinates the activities of the assigned services, and supports medical and administrative staff within each assigned department. Has the ability to take on multiple projects while still maintaining a high level of productivity on existing projects. Takes a leadership role in developing policy and standards for patient care services.
This position requires providing service to adult populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
