The Radiology Aide supports the efficient operation of the Imaging Department through a combination of clinical, clerical, and patient support activities. Responsibilities include assisting with patient flow, transportation, procedure preparation, documentation management, supply maintenance, and front desk operations. The Radiology Aide promotes patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction while adhering to departmental policies, infection control standards, and universal precautions. Provides age-appropriate support and care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Associates Degree in business or healthcare
Experience:
Preferred: Previous health care experience in Diagnostic Imaging desirable.
Other:
Minimum: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office products and Electronic Medical Record
