Radio Producer

97.5 The Fanatic, Philadelphia’s premier sports radio station, is seeking a full-time Radio Producer to join our team of passionate broadcasters delivering engaging, high-quality daily content. This role is ideal for a creative, organized, and highly motivated individual who lives and breathes Philadelphia sports, thrives in a fast-paced live broadcast environment, and brings both strong editorial judgment and technical production expertise to the table.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping daily programming, developing compelling content, coordinating guests, and ensuring flawless execution of live broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce a daily four-hour live sports talk show from concept to execution.
  • Research, develop, and pitch timely content, topics, and storylines to on-air talent.
  • Book guest interviews and cultivate relationships with athletes, analysts, insiders, and other influential sports personalities.
  • Operate the broadcast board during live shows, ensuring smooth transitions and precise execution.
  • Write and deliver sports updates multiple times per hour.
  • Monitor breaking sports news and adjust show content in real time as stories develop.
  • Manage show pacing, segment structure, break timing, and communication with hosts.
  • Collaborate with the Production Director to develop show imaging, feature elements, and creative production pieces.
  • Supervise and mentor Associate Producers, ensuring successful completion of daily show responsibilities.
  • Partner with the Digital Content team to create podcasts, social media content, and additional audience engagement opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Promotions team to support station events, remotes, and marketing initiatives that increase awareness and audience growth.
  • Contribute ideas that strengthen audience engagement, ratings performance, and the overall listener experience.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in sports radio, audio production, podcast production, or a related media environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Philadelphia sports, including the Eagles, Phillies, 76ers, and Flyers.
  • Strong understanding of sports news, current events, and the evolving media landscape.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or similar audio production platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and make sound editorial decisions in a live broadcast setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
