Radio Board Operator

Burbank, CA | Part Time

COMPENSATION RANGE: 20.00 - 25.00

SummaryWe are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Board Operator to join our Programming team and help execute live and recorded radio programming.The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced broadcast environment, understands the importance of timing and precision, and can confidently manage the technical elements of a live radio show while working closely with on-air talent and the programming team.Essential Functions● Operate the broadcast console for live and recorded programming. ● Execute commercial breaks, station IDs, promos, liners, music, network elements and other scheduled programming accurately and on time. ● Monitor live broadcasts and ensure programming runs smoothly and according to the program log. ● Coordinate with on-air talent, producers, Programming and Traffic during live shows. ● Manage satellite/network feeds and other incoming programming sources as needed. ● Load, organize and verify audio elements in the station automation system. ● Monitor audio levels and overall broadcast quality. ● Troubleshoot basic technical or automation issues and communicate problems quickly to the appropriate team. ● Make real-time adjustments when programming changes, shows run long or unexpected situations occur. ● Follow station programming clocks, format guidelines and FCC requirements. ● Assist with special programming, remotes, live events and holiday coverage as needed.

Required Education and Experience● Previous radio, audio production or broadcast experience preferred.● Experience operating a broadcast console and automation system strongly preferred.● Strong attention to detail and excellent time-management skills.● Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions during live programming.● Comfortable working independently while communicating effectively with talent and Programming.● Basic understanding of audio levels, routing, playback systems and broadcast workflows.● Computer proficiency and ability to learn new broadcast software quickly.● Spanish-language radio experience and/or bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.● Knowledge of ENCO or similar radio automation systems is a plus.● Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary.What We're Looking ForMore than anything, we're looking for someone who is dependable, technically sharp and takes ownership of the air product.
