This position is per diem and is located at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. New Grads are welcome to apply and flexible per diem hours are available!
<br>Responsible for the delivery of radiation therapy treatment as prescribed by the radiation oncologist, daily maintenance and quality assurance checks for the equipment, maintenance of the inventory of department supplies, and administrative quality assurance checks as assigned.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>Yes<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Administers radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely, following departmental policies and procedures. <br>
-Positions and immobilizes patients according to the treatment plan, effectively evaluates images according to standard guidelines, and assists in resolving setup issues. <br>
-Utilizes the Quality Assurance (QA) program to encompass all aspects of treatment, treatment delivery, and quality patient care. <br>
-Demonstrate knowledge and skills to meet age-specific requirements for the population being served in their unit, including infants through elderly patients. <br>
-Ability to teach student therapists and other departmental observers. <br>
Qualifications
Education
Associate's Degree Radiation Therapy required or Bachelor's Degree Radiation Therapy preferred

Licenses and Credentials:
NH Radiation Therapist license required
Basic Life Support Certification required
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 1 year of program completion..
Experience
Clinical internship in a major cancer center 0-1 year preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrate efficient knowledge of all equipment operation, tools, and procedures specific to the assigned area, and effectively troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal professional relationships with physicians, management, peers, patients, and their families.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking, and creativity when resolving issues and conflicts.
- Must have to ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information.
- Must be proficient in the use of the Radiation Oncology Information Systems and software and Hospital Information Systems that integrate with the Department of Radiation Oncology, including, but not limited to: Mosaiq, ARIA, EPIC, Vision RT, and Eclipse.
