The Radiation Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring the compliance and safe operation of ionizing radiation within the organization. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining radiation safety programs in compliance with National, Province, and local regulations, as well as GEHC internal policies and standards. The Radiation Safety Manager will work closely with commercial, Quality, Clinical, Operations, Logistics, and administrative staff to promote a culture of radiation safety and continuous improvement. This position is critical in supporting the compliance, safe and effective operation of GE Healthcare diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy drugs.

· With reference to GEHC’ s Radiation Safety Framework and local Radiation related regulation requirement, develop and drive strong EHS management programs.
· Manage radiation safety related work, including radiation Environment Impact Assessment, radiation Occupational Disease Hazard Impact Assessment, radiation OH Physical Exam arrangement (onboard, offboard, transfer, emergency), badge routine management, radiation OH profiles management, annual radiation report and other required reports.
· Establish and maintain Radiation Safety management system, including developing Radiation Safety management procedure, Radiation Safety work rules and instructions, responsibility of different positions related to radiation operation, radiation security management procedure, radiation hazard prevention procedure, radiation safety profiles management procedure, radiation training management procedure, radiation monitoring procedure and emergency management procedure.
· Ensure compliance with all applicable Radiation Safety regulations, laws, National Codes/Standards and Province/local radiation control programs.
· Manage and maintain EHS related permits to ensure compliance, including but not limited to Radiation, Environment (Air Emission, Waste Discharge, Hazardous Waste), Occupational Health (OH), Safety, Firefighting, etc.
· Conduct radiation safety training for staff, physicians, and other personnel involved in the use of radiation-producing equipment or radioactive materials.
· Perform routine radiation surveys, equipment evaluations, and dose assessments.
· Investigate incidents involving radiation exposure or equipment malfunction and implement corrective actions as necessary.
· Collaborate with radioactive drugs vendors and customers to ensure safe and compliance transaction, transportation, maintenance, and performance of molecular imaging and therapy drugs
· Maintain accurate records of radiation safety activities, including personnel dosimetry, equipment testing, and training.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for radiation safety-related audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting.
· Provide expert consultation on radiation protection matters to clinical, technical, and administrative leadership.
