Practice Overview

  • Collaborative Environment: Engage with a supportive team of professionals dedicated to continuous learning and improvement. Dosimetry and Physicist support on-site.

  • Comprehensive Clinical Resources: Medical oncology clinic, infusion center and radiation oncology services—all under one roof, powered by Aria and Epic EMR.

  • Recruitment supports shared coverage and long-term program sustainability
  • Deaconess Health System has 4 Radiation Oncology locations and 5 providers to allow for great collaboration and plan review.

Typical Weekly Expectations: consider weekly OR daily flow

  • 4–8 new patient consultations
  • 25–40 follow-up or on-treatment visits
  • 3–6 simulation approvals and treatment plans
  • Participation in weekly tumor board

Daily Flow

  • 1–2 new consults per day
  • 4–8 follow-ups or on-treatment visits
  • Protected time for contouring, planning, and chart review
  • Optional HDR brachytherapy based on interest and experience

Technology & Scope of Practice

  • Varian TrueBeam
  • Varian Halcyon
  • Varian Bravos HDR Brachytherapy
  • Siemens go.Sim CT Simulator
  • Scope includes general radiation oncology with IMRT, with opportunities for SRS, SBRT, and HDR depending on physician interest and experience. Radiopharmaceutical experience a plus

Schedule & Call

  • Shared call with senior Radiation Oncologist
  • Primarily phone-based
  • Predictable weekday schedule
  • Strong emphasis on work–life balance

Compensation & Benefits

A competitive employed compensation package is offered and will include:

  • 1-year Guaranteed Base Salary: $700,000

  • Productivity-based bonus opportunity

  • Sign-on Bonus: $100,000 with a 5-year contract or $75,000 with a 3-year contract

  • Student Loan Assistance: $75,000

  • Residency Monthly Stipend: $2,000 for up to 24 months

Comprehensive Benefits Package Including:

  • 5 CME days + $3,500 annual CME allowance
