
Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Sustainment Engineer for Radar System Model Development to join a diverse team in Huntsville, AL to create unique solutions for complex problems involving foreign weapon systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, LeidosDyneticsprovides alert, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
In this role, you will help to sustain radar system software models and assist the team developing them in support of radio frequency (RF) and Electronic Warfare (EW) projects for the Defense Intelligence an Electronic Warfare Communities – specifically a diverse portfolio of projects and programs which specialize in foreign threat radar systems, RF software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators, and open-air radar development.
Primary Responsibilities.
Sustainment and development of analytic to high-fidelity models of RF systems to support EW analysis.
Ability to troubleshoot and rectify errant threat model behavior based on customer feedback.
Development and integration into real-time and non-real-time simulation architectures.
Assessing effects of operator-in-the-loop on radar and missile weapon system simulations.
Threat model development to match intelligence assessments, including waveform scheduling, correlation/tracking, signal processing, and closed-loop missile behavior.
Simulation and Graphical User Interface (GUI) development primarily focused on Windows.
Testing, verification, and documentation of development and analysis efforts.
Basic Qualifications.
Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics from an ABET accredited institute and 0+ years of relevant work history isrequired
A background in C++ software development isrequired
Candidate mustdemonstraterelevant skills in one or more of the primary focus areas, be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, and have the ability/desire to work in a technical team to solve challenging problemsutilizinga broad spectrum of skills.
Possess a demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, adapt quickly to changing demands, and work both solo and on a team.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing torelocateto the Huntsville, AL area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Candidate must possess(and be able tomaintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (andmaintain) a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications.
A strong background in C++/C# in a Windows operating environment is desired. Linux experience isdesirable, butnotrequired
Experience with weapons system analysis, modeling and simulation, graphics and displays, and real-time operating systems is desired.
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, MATLAB/Simulink, Atlassian products (JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.),GitHub products, Bash, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), PowerShell, Linux, andCMakeare a plus.
Additionalconsideration will be given to candidates with a working knowledge or radar fundamentals, electronic warfare, and digital signal processing.

Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
