The Resources, Archives and Discovery (RAD) unit of the Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center is looking for a student employee who assists with special projects involving library and/or historical materials as well as performs a variety of defined routine technical and clerical tasks. The RAD Assistant will work 12 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters, with the opportunity to work additional hours during intersessions.
In order to successfully perform all of the requirements of this job, the candidate must be able to undertake projects once given direction, perform varied and moderately complex duties involving a moderate to substantial degree of responsibility and judgment, provide regular progress reports, meet deadlines, and cooperate with peers.

· Attention to detail.
· Experience in file and/or record management in a library, office or related setting.
· Proficiency and/or experience using Microsoft Office.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Experience searching a library catalog for class projects is a plus (but not required).
· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., push and pull carts weighing up to 50 lbs (less than 20% of the time).
· Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, stoop and grasp with repetitive motion (less than 20% of the time).
