Hendrick Motorsports a leader in the automotive racing industry, is currently seeking a race engine assembler.

Underthe general direction of the Engine Production Manager, the race engine assembleris responsible forassembling enginesandmeasuring, inspecting, and assembling components to ensure maximum operating efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:

  • Read and interpret assembly blueprints and specifications manuals and plan assembly or building operations.
  • Maintain and lubricate parts and components.
  • Inspect and prepcomponents for assembly.
  • Set and verify critical clearances.
  • Inspect and replace damaged partsinassemblies.
  • Maintain and lubricate parts and components for assembly.
  • Verify conformance of parts to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Fasten and install piping, fixtures, and components to form assemblies or subassemblies using hand tools.

  • 5 years

Education/Experience:

  • Requires working knowledge of basic mechanical skills and competencies.Must have a proventrack recordof building race engines. Mustpossessa sound understanding of internal combustion engines.
