Hendrick Motorsports, a leader in the racing industry is currently seeking a Race Car Used Parts and Equipment Specialist.
This position accurately maintains monthly accounting records for all race used parts & equipment inventory and sales. Additionally, responsible for creating and uploading approved advertisements, updating the Race Used Parts social media accounts with approved part & equipment sales marketing content, preparing & shipping race used parts & equipment, authenticity documentation, sales and business development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Collect all race used parts, equipment & tires from race teams, engine shop and other departments.
- Segregate and organize collected parts for storage and distribution to designated sales channels.
- Complete race used parts & equipment preparation, authenticity documentation and shipping, which includes photographing and editing as needed for promotional purposes.
- Assist in creating and implementing approved advertising plans to maximize race used parts & equipment revenue.
- Document tracking of all existing and incoming race used parts & equipment, as well as sales and authenticity certification records using databases, software programs or other applicable processes.
- Assist with the proper organization and cleanliness of the Raced Used Parts & Equipment storage and retail areas, and all associated storage locations.
- Support race used parts & equipment projects as assigned by Director of Licensing, E-Commerce & Strategy.
- Support other storage, retail store and e-commerce duties as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve current processes and contribute to the development of new initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through participation in cross-functional team projects.
- Work with Licensing department on direction, strategy and implementation of the overall Race Used Parts & Equipment strategy, as well as the retail team store and designated official online store and trackside retailer of Hendrick Motorsports.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Licensing, E-Commerce & Strategy.
Education/Experience:
- Associate degree or related experience preferred.
- 2+ years' experience in inventory management is preferred.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to persist and succeed with cross-functional communication within scope of responsibility.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must have independent problem-solving skills and the discipline to follow-up and follow-through until problems are resolved.
Computer Skills:
- Basic Computer skills required.
- Intermediate knowledge in Excel and spreadsheet creation, a plus.
- Photo capture and editing software such as Canva, Photoshop, etc.
Communication Skills:
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Attendance Expectations:
- The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand, walk, manually manipulate, reach outward, reach above shoulder level, and lift/carry up to 50+ pounds frequently.
- This position will frequently push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- This position will occasionally sit, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend.
Environment Demands:
- This position will typically work indoors with some outdoors exposure.
- This position may be exposed to loud noise and fumes.
Verbal and Writing Ability:
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
