The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian Nationals for the positions below at the Institute’s headquarter in Ibadan.
Position : R&A Technician II (2 Positions)
Duration : 6 months’ renewable
Location : Ibadan
Closing Date: 27 July 2026
DUTIES
· Assist in checking and rectifying faults on refrigerators and freezers.
· Assist in the installation of Air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers
· Assist in the maintenance/servicing of work Air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers
· Operate and maintain cooling equipment and systems
· Performing routine inspections of Air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers (systems) to ensure proper operation
· Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
QUALIFICATION
A minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mechanical Engineering, a Trade Test Certificate, or its equivalent, with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience performing similar functions in a structured organization, is required.
COMPETENCIES
The ideal candidate must have:
· Strong Knowledge of refrigeration (Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis).
· Understanding of electrical systems and diagrams.
· Knowledge of refrigerants, pressure-temperature relationships, and charging procedures.
· Familiarity with tools such as gauges, multimeters, vacuum pumps, and leak detectors.
· Having knowledge of VRV and inverter systems will be an added advantage.
