This role drives the strategic B2B positioning and Go-to-market execution of Business Banking Commercial and Sectors business, ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives and customer experience priorities. The role translates business strategies into marketing strategies, implementing integrated campaigns and fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams to drive consideration and business growth. The role must ensure marketing efforts are digitally enabled, data-driven, and optimised for omnichannel engagement.
Key Focus Areas:
Go-to-Market Strategy: Design and implement marketing frameworks aligned to Commercial and Sector strategic priorities.
Campaign Development: Lead integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
Customer-Centric Marketing: Embed insights-driven approaches to enhance relevance and engagement.
Digital Marketing Excellence: Leverage AI-driven tools, social media analytics, and automation platforms.
Performance Measurement: Track adoption, campaign ROI, and market feedback for continuous optimisation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with Client Experience and Events, product, and communications teams for seamless execution.
Brand Stewardship: Ensure all marketing aligns with brand governance and reputation standards.
Conventional marketing: Sponsorship advisory role including branding and managing TTL campaigns
Key Accountabilities:
Go-to-Market Planning & Execution
Develop and implement comprehensive GTM strategies for Commercial and Sectors.
Align marketing plans with segment priorities.
Drive integrated campaign planning across paid, owned, and earned media channels.
Digital Marketing, Content Marketing & Analytics
Deploy omnichannel marketing strategies leveraging programmatic advertising, SEO, and social platforms.
Deploy best-in-class storytelling to bring segment and sector narratives to life.
Utilise analytics dashboards and AI-driven insights to optimise campaign performance and customer targeting.
Performance & Market Insights
Monitor campaign impact, and customer feedback to inform future strategies.
Conduct competitive benchmarking and trend analysis to maintain market relevance.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
Collaborate with marcomms team on integrated campaigns
Ensure compliance with brand governance, regulatory requirements, and inclusive communication standards
Working and managing multiple vendor partners
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Diploma, or B Tech [NQF 7]
Field of Study (Preferred):
Marketing/ Digital Marketing
Commerce, Sciences, Humanities
Business Administration/Strategy
Work Experience:
5–12 years’ experience in marketing and communications, including a proven track record of at least 3 years in a people management position.
Demonstrated expertise in B2B financial services or a similar complex environment.
Exposure to process design, optimisation, quality management, customer centricity, technology, and data-driven decision-making is preferred.
Strong experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies, integrated campaigns, and sales enablement initiatives.
Strong understanding of marketing KPIs, budget management and brand metrics.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
