About the Role
ATEK Metal Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Quoting Engineer to support our growing manufacturing operation. In this role, you will lead the development of accurate, competitive, and technically sound quotations for new and existing aluminum casting programs.
You’ll work closely with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Launch teams to evaluate customer designs, develop manufacturing concepts, and ensure quotes reflect efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective processes.
This is a key role in supporting business growth and strengthening customer partnerships.
What You’ll Do
As a Quoting Engineer, you will:
- Develop complete and accurate cost estimates for new and existing products
- Calculate casting weights, material usage, machining, and post-processing costs
- Analyze customer drawings, models, and concepts for manufacturability
- Evaluate castability and recommend optimal manufacturing processes
- Obtain and manage internal and external machining and processing quotes
- Develop tooling budgets and support tooling projects
- Communicate design and process improvements during the quoting phase
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Launch teams on new product development
- Quote engineering changes and manage cost impacts
- Support cell design and manufacturing methods tied to quoted programs
What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (Engineering degree preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in aluminum casting, molding, or process engineering
- Experience estimating aluminum castings and tooling concepts
- Strong understanding of foundry processes and post-processing methods, including technical understanding of aluminum casting processes
- Proven experience developing competitive, profitable quotes
- Knowledge of tooling, equipment, and production budgeting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CAD systems

Work Environment
- Primarily office-based in a climate-controlled setting
- Regular exposure to foundry conditions (heat, dust, noise, fumes)
