The Quoting Excellence Specialist supports the end-to-end quoting process for large customer inquiries, ensuring data accuracy, strategic alignment, and timely execution. This role is responsible for preparing, matching, and coordinating quote data across internal systems and stakeholders, contributing to the delivery of competitive and high-quality customer quotations.
In this role the Quoting Excellence Specialist can be assigned to special projects and will work in close collaboration with other Avnet Abacus departments, but also across Avnet.

What You Will Do

• Customer Inquiry Support

• Receive and process large customer RFQs in collaboration with Sales and the Manager of Quoting Excellence.
• Understand customer requirements and ensure all relevant data is captured for quoting.

• Data Preparation & Cleansing

• Analyse and cleanse part numbers and specifications.
• Normalize and structure data for compatibility with SAP and internal quoting tools.

• SAP Matching & Quote Setup

• Match customer requests with SAP material master data, currently ZLQ.
• Identify gaps or mismatches and escalate for resolution.
• Prepare quote templates and documentation for internal review.

• Supplier Coordination

• Collaborate with the Quote Centre to request and retrieve supplier quotations.
• Ensure supplier pricing is current, competitive, and aligned with quoting strategy.
• Integrate supplier data into the quote framework.

• Quote Finalization Support

• Assist in compiling and formatting final quote packages for Sales.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of all quote elements.
• Maintain records of quote history and outcomes for future reference.

• Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with other Quoting Excellence Specialists to share best practices.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members as needed.

• Other duties

• Attend cross-functional team meetings to address business problems or systems issues.
• Attend training as appropriate
• Be aware of and comply with Company and supplier procedures and standard

• 
  Key Skills Required

• 2+ years of experience in Sales, Quoting, Pricing, or commercial operations, preferably in electronic component distribution environment.
• Sales and Customer oriented mindset
• Basic understanding of supplier pricing and cost structures.
• Familiarity with supplier negotiation and cost analysis.
• Understanding of SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other data tools.
• Experience with data cleansing and part number normalization.
• Competence to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage multiple activities effectively - A clear sense of urgency about getting things done
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Communicate effectively in English (written and oral)
• Ability to communicate professionally with sales, suppliers and colleagues and offer best service and support.
• A team player who is prepared to take responsibility with strong positive outlook
• A keen attitude to learning and development in a changing environment
