We are looking for Quotation Engineer position who act as a trusted partner to support sales team, product managers, and global sales support groups. Prepare technical quotations for customers around the world, ensuring that solutions meet their technical needs and expectations. You will also support the sales process by preparing commercial calculations, defining sales terms, and coordinating delivery time checks with manufacturing.
Quotation Engineer will report to the Manager, Application, Project Sales & Global Sales Support.
Your responsibilities:
Provide technical advice to the sales team and customers to develop, sell, and successfully implement product or service solutions that will meet the customer needs.
Prepare quotations for customers to meet their technical requirements and expectations, commercial conditions from sales, and delivery times from the factory
Support sales and the distribution channel and manage complaints and issues affecting customer orders, liaising where necessary with sales, service, finance and operations to solve order issues
Follow systems specifications and formalized representations of solutions (for example, flow charts, models) to configure systems that meet customer need
Liaise with product management to ensure that products and services are modified, configured, and installed according to customer needs
Key Stakeholders:
Sales and technology manager for the sales project in question.
Product managers, Valmet workshops.
To Succeed in this role:
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Experience
10-15 Years Experience in Technical understanding of Pulp & Paper, Stock Preparation, and Recycled Fiber processes is required.
Experience in process automation or engineering applications is preferred.
Exposure to quotation preparation in a global business environment is preferred.
Familiarity with process engineering tools or related technologies used in industrial setups is preferred.
Requirements:
Prepare high-quality technical quotations for customers globally.
Develop commercial calculations and define sales terms aligned with business guidelines.
Experience in preparing technical quotations in a B2B environment (advantageous).
Strong communication skills, with fluent spoken and written English.
Verify and coordinate delivery schedules with manufacturing units.
Support the sales team by resolving daily technical sales-related inquiries.
Collaborate closely with product managers and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive proposals.
Work independently to manage assigned tasks within expected timelines.
