Unique opportunity for a driven Quarry Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Booyal Quarry near Bundaberg QLD. Reporting to the Quarry Manager, this dynamic and diverse role will support various key functionalities of the Quarry, including maintenance, plant performance, safety, environment, sales and quality control.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership, make an impact and further develop your career. Key duties include supervision and coordination of daily site activities, leading safety and environmental legislation compliance and implementation of business HSE policies and procedures, promoting, facilitating and initiating LEAN activities, as well as driving customer focused product and service outcomes.

Your day will involve:

  • Supervision and management of staff and contractors including coaching, mentoring while and managing shift schedules & work plans
  • Safety Management: Developing staff knowledge and competence on safe working practices and conducting regular safety audits
  • Effective management of production, sales and maintenance activities, including promoting and enforcing safety processes and protocols to meet performance outcomes.

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated experience in hard rock quarry operations, mining and/or fixed and mobile plant operations
  • Strong knowledge of hard rock quarrying, crushing processes and efficient mobile plant operations.
  • Strong leadership attributes including initiative to identify, manage and solve issues as they arise
  • Certificate 4 in Training and Assessing (desirable)
  • Experience in LEAN Manufacturing will be highly regarded.
