Operate and Assist
Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of the country’s leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel, and road base from a number of locations across Australia.
We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Digger Rest Quarry in VIC, approx. 45 mins northwest of Melbourne CBD.
This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.
In your new role with us, you will:
Carry out day to day operation and light maintenance of plant and equipment
Operate a heavy equipment (excavator/front end loader/articulated dump truck).
Grader experience is advantageous, but not essential
Perform general labour activities including cleaning, hosing and shovelling
This role is a great fit for you if you have:

Must hold RII tickets
Experience in either Quarrying or Mining
The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
What we offer:
Hourly base rate from $34.01, pending experience, plus penalty rates, plus super
Monday to Friday – average hours 6:00am – 4:00pm
Half day Saturday shifts, according to business needs (2 x p/month on average pending workload)
