Quarry Operator role at Bacchus Marsh Quarry involving equipment operation, plant maintenance, and general site duties in a safe and team-focused environment.

Operate and Assist

Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of the country's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel, and road base from a number of locations across Australia.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Bacchus Marsh Quarry in VIC

This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.

In your new role with us, you will:

  • Carry out day-to-day operation and light maintenance of plant and equipment
  • Operate heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, dump trucks, and water trucks
  • Grader experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience with wash plant and slimes processing is advantageous but not essential
  • Perform general labouring activities, including cleaning, hosing, and shovelling

  • Experience in quarrying, mining, or a similar industry

What we offer:

  • Hourly base rate from $34.01, dependent on experience, plus penalty rates and superannuation
  • Monday to Friday, average hours 6:00am to 4:00pm
  • Half-day Saturday shifts according to business requirements (approximately two per month, depending on workload)
