Job Description

Your next opportunity

As the Regional Quarries Manager, you'll report to the Country Quarries Operations Manager and take the lead across five sites in the Central West region. You'll be the go-to leader on safety, compliance, operational performance, and team culture - building strong relationships with your people, internal stakeholders, and the local community. You'll bring commercial insight to drive efficiency and continuous improvement across the area.

Your day will involve:

  • Safety First: Champion and enforce safety protocols to achieve outstanding performance outcomes.
  • People Leadership: Lead, inspire, and mentor staff and contractors through hands-on management and genuine care for your team.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations across five sites, ensuring production aligns with safety and quality standards, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all sites meet licensing, consent, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Contribution: Play a key role in short and long-term planning, capital works, and asset optimization and maintenance strategy.

What are we looking for?

We're flexible on background - what matters most is your leadership and your drive. You might come from quarrying, mining, civil construction, or another area of heavy industry. If you've got the right skills and attitude, we're keen to talk.

  • Strong Leadership: You lead by example - you build trust, resolve issues proactively, and bring out the best in your team.
  • Safety Commitment: Safety isn't just a box to tick for you - it's how you operate every day.
  • Industry Experience: A background in heavy industry or civil construction. Quarrying or mining experience is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
  • Drive & Initiative: You're self-motivated and solutions-focused, with the energy to manage multiple sites and competing priorities.
  • Budget Savvy: Experience developing and managing operational budgets with a focus on cost control.
  • Tickets & Certifications: Quarry Manager certification is desired but not essential. Transferable skills and a willingness to work towards relevant certification is all we need.

What’s on offer?

  • Competitive salary package
  • Relocation support available - because the right opportunity shouldn't be limited by where you live.
  • Fully maintained tool of trade vehicle
  • Support to earn your qualifications and ticket
  • Gain diverse experience across Boral operations with real opportunity for long term career development and growth
  • Lead with real autonomy across five sites - this is a role where you can make your mark
  • Enjoy the balance of a fulfilling career and regional lifestyle
  • Employee Assistance Program, employee benefits and discount programs
  • Comprehensive relocation support
