Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project quantities, cost estimation, measurements, variations, subcontractor valuations, and commercial documentation for façade and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and material measurements from drawings and specifications.
  • Review architectural, structural, shop drawings and project specifications.
  • Prepare BOQ, cost estimates, rate analysis and quantity calculations.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial commitments.
  • Prepare and evaluate variation orders and claims.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier quotations and compare commercial offers.
  • Prepare interim payment applications, valuations and final accounts.
  • Coordinate with Estimation, Procurement, Engineering, Project and Finance teams.
  • Track material quantities, wastage and project requirements.
  • Verify site measurements and ensure quantities are accurately recorded.
  • Maintain proper commercial records, contracts and supporting documents.
  • Assist in tender preparation and commercial negotiations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project requirements.
  • Prepare regular cost reports and commercial updates for management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in façade, aluminium, glass or building construction.
  • Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off, rate analysis, variations and claims.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel; knowledge of QS/estimation software is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
  • UAE/GCC experience preferred.
