We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.

The Assystem Safety & Risk business unit has over 20 years’ experience, delivering bespoke, high-quality safety, risk, and reliability consultancy services to high-hazard industries. We help our clients to minimise risk, delivering improved safety and security and fostering a nuclear safety and risk aware culture. Assystem Safety & Risk delivers an integrated and cost-effective service that includes Safety Case, Human & Organisational Factors (HOF), Risk & Reliability (Including Probabilistic Safety Assessment), Security & Resilience, and Process Safety.

We use deterministic and probabilistic techniques to help our clients to assess the risk associated with facilities and activities and confirm that risks are reduced to a level that is As Low as Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing project quantities, cost estimation, budgeting, billing, contract administration, and cost control for infrastructure projects. The role ensures commercial compliance, accurate measurement of works, timely preparation of client and subcontractor bills, and effective management of project costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates from project drawings and specifications.
• Verify executed quantities and monitor project costs against approved budgets.
• Prepare and process client RA bills and certify subcontractor invoices.
• Manage contract administration, variations, claims, and change orders.
• Support tendering, procurement, and commercial evaluations.
• Coordinate with project, planning, and finance teams for cost reporting and project controls.
• Maintain commercial records, measurement sheets, and contractual documentation.
• Prepare periodic cost, billing, and commercial performance reports.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–15 years of experience in quantity surveying for infrastructure projects such as roads, highways, railways, metro, bridges, airports, or water projects.
