Job Description

Our client, a Tier 1 Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team working on residential and commercial projects across the Dublin area This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of Ireland’s leading contractors on high-profile developments. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs, contracts, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ QS experience, ideally with a main contractor, and strong commercial acumen.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and manage project budgets and cost plans.
2. Conduct detailed measurement and valuation of works.
3. Manage subcontractor procurement and tendering processes.
4. Review and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance and value.
5. Monitor project costs and prepare accurate financial reports.
6. Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams on commercial matters.
7. Assess and process interim and final payments.
8. Identify and manage risks and opportunities within projects.
9. Support continuous improvement of commercial processes and systems.

Requirements:

1. Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a QS role, ideally with a main contractor.
3. Strong understanding of construction contracts and cost management.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
5. Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel, CostX, or similar).
6. Full, clean driving license.
