Job Title – Quantity Surveyor

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, contracts, and financial performance across construction and real estate development projects. This role involves cost estimation, budgeting, procurement support, and contract administration to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within approved budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation & Budgeting
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for projects.
Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis based on drawings and specifications.
Develop and monitor project cost plans throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide accurate financial forecasts and budget updates.
Contract Administration
Manage contracts, variations, claims, and change orders.
Review and administer contractor and subcontractor agreements.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project scope.
Support tendering processes, bid evaluations, and contractor selection.
Cost Control & Financial Management
Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
Track project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare valuation reports, payment certificates, and financial statements.
Implement value engineering initiatives to optimize project profitability.
Procurement & Vendor Coordination
Coordinate with procurement teams for sourcing materials and services.
Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and pricing.
Support negotiations with vendors and contractors.
Ensure procurement activities align with project schedules and budgets.
Project Coordination & Reporting
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and consultants.
Provide regular reports on project financial performance and cost status.
Maintain accurate records of project costs, contracts, and variations.
Support project teams in achieving financial and operational objectives.
Risk Management & Compliance
Identify commercial and contractual risks and recommend mitigation measures.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company procedures.
Maintain proper documentation for audits and project reviews.
Assist in dispute resolution and claims management processes.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
5–10 years of experience in quantity surveying within construction or real estate development.
Strong understanding of cost management, contracts, and procurement processes.
Experience with FIDIC contracts and commercial management practices is preferred.
