This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to build a long-term career working on secure, high-profile Defence construction projects.
Our client is a well-established construction contractor delivering complex projects in highly regulated environments. They are looking to appoint a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to support project delivery, cost control, and commercial performance across Defence schemes based in the South West.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of Defence projects from pre-contract through to final account.
You will:
Assist with cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting
Manage subcontractor packages, valuations, and payments
Support change control, variations, and cost recovery
Work closely with project teams to manage risk and maximise value
Ensure compliance with contract and commercial procedures
Contribute to the successful commercial delivery of secure projects
This role will suit a degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor looking to step into a more challenging and rewarding environment.
You will bring:
An undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Around 4 years’ experience working within a commercial department
Good understanding of construction commercial processes
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
A collaborative approach and the confidence to engage with project teams
Defence experience is advantageous but not essential — the right attitude and commercial foundation are key.
